PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Katherine Riggert draws on her education in osteopathic medicine, family medicine and sports medicine combined with her experiences as a competitive athlete to provide a comprehensive approach to health. She is passionate about encouraging others to seek balance in their lives and to develop resiliency. As human beings we share common experiences, but as life unfolds our individual responses to success, failure, loss, trauma and joy are unique, as is our capacity for growth, development and healing. Therefore, health care should address the whole person – mind, body, and spirit, the root of osteopathic medicine, which Dr. Riggert embraces in her practice of medicine.
“To find health should be the object of the physician. Anyone can find disease.”

BODY MIND AND SPIRIT
Osteopathy is a health model. At its foundation, osteopathy supports the person as a whole, as one in mind, body, and spirit. As osteopathic physicians, we use our hands to listen to and interact with healing forces in our patients’ bodies so that health can be expressed to its fullest potential. We work with the innate wisdom of the body to heal. Osteopathic physicians are fully educated in both conventional western medicine as well as osteopathic principles and practice. Osteopathic physicians are trained to help cultivate health, support the whole, and ease barriers to healing in their patients.
